It is common knowledge that water is severely contaminated. Even though we cannot survive without water, we are also accountable for the accumulation of toxins in the water. Analyzing the physical, chemical, and biological factors that show the water quality, degree of deterioration, and remedial actions for sustenance is crucial to the first step in properly managing water pollution. The goal of the current study was to evaluate the seasonal fluctuations in the drinking water quality of the industrial zones of Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh, between 2024 and 2025. The investigation was conducted for physico-chemical parameters including pH. conductivity, TDS, turbidity, Total alkalinity, total hardness, Dissolve oxygen, chloride, sulphate, nitrate, phosphate. Using the arithmetic weighted technique for the aforementioned characteristics, the results were determined as the water quality index (WQI). The overall water quality index for the pre-monsoon, post-monsoon, and winter seasons was 85.57, 51.47, and 69.54 respectively, according to the WQI data. The observed values of different physicochemical characteristics were compared with standard values recommended by Bureau of Indian standard (BIS). Following the percolation of rainwater and dilution, the study also showed that the quality of the water improved in the post-monsoon season. In order to avoid negative health impacts, it is quite evident from the study that groundwater must undergo conventional treatment before being consumed by local populations.
