Abstract

The search for epistemic unity centers on integrating mathematics, computation, and physics into a single conceptual framework. Symmetry, long foundational in physics, is likewise a deep but underleveraged structure in mathematics and now a driving force in machine‑learning architectures. Symmetry is the property that the fundamental aspects of a system remain invariant as other parts change.

Smartnetwork field theory (SNFT) proposes that advanced computational infrastructures (AI systems, quantum technologies, blockchains, robotics, and neuro-technologies) should be treated as particle‑many physical systems. These systems possess their own space, time, and economic-bookkeeping regimes, and their behavior is best understood through statistical physics. Machine‑learning physics (ML‑Physics) extends this idea by embedding physics problems, especially quantum field theory, directly into neural‑network parameters so that learning processes can solve what mathematics cannot. Physics is shifting from a mathematical to a computational field.

This shift motivates Galois Smartnetwork Field Theory (G‑SNFT), which argues that symmetry (Galois formulations are the strictest) is the enabling structure for implementing field theories within computational systems. As mathematics becomes increasingly digitized, its higher-order symmetry structures become more prominent. The migration from sets to categories, and now to loops, reflects a progression from passive entities to relational mappings to performative transports. Loops are active entities linked to Feynman-diagram infinities, holonomy, monodromy, and modern machine‑learning techniques such as diffusion and optimal transport.

The active performativity of transport loops suggests Galois Capsules as the temporal regime of smartnetworks. Galois Capsules incorporate a symmetry-based time duality of the simultaneous unification of sequential event paths with their integrated temporal whole. Just as spatial integration yields the area under a curve, temporal integration yields a capsule: a single object representing the full trajectory of infinitesimal time moments. Examples include blockchains, knots, covering spaces, gradient diffusion, adiabatic processes, photonic skyrmions, and cellular automata. Smartnetworks already operate in their own temporal regimes (blocktime, training time, quantum-circuit time). Galois Capsules formalize this time duality and join existing time building-blocks such as Fourier transforms, Floquet periodicity, time‑energy uncertainty, out-of-time-order correlators, chaotic signatures, and anisotropic scaling. They provide a new way to conceptualize time as emergent and manageable within technological systems. Galois time capsules inform the philosophy of time as emergent, drawing on Simondon’s view that time arises through individuation.

Galois Capsules lead to a broader philosophical shift toward Transcendental Topology, a successor to the Kantian transcendental framework. The new sensibility emphasizes the topological, performative, and relational aspects of being and time. It reframes history into three modes: everyday elapsed events (History 1.0), contingent philosophical history (History 2.0), and simulated futurity (History 3.0). In a world dominated by smartnetwork infrastructures, most events exist only as simulations; the prevailing temporal orientation becomes one of futurity. Knowledge is again decentered as AI systems increasingly act as both the subject and object of inquiry. Transcendental Topology thus becomes a theory of temporal selfhood, where identity is ideal content transmitted through Galois capsular time. Overall, Galois Capsules function as symmetry‑based building blocks integrating mathematics, computation, and physics, advancing the project of transforming fragmented epistemologies into ontic unity.
