Nitrogen- heterocyclic chemistry constitutes an important class in organic chemistry with a significant amount of research dedicated to the development of novel molecules. Over the past few years, there is considerable interest in the development and pharmacology of heteroaromatic organic compounds such as 2-aminopyridines, these latter represents the most important class of N-heterocyclic chemistry and still receive much attention because of their highly electron-donating, strong coordination abilities, and diverse biological activities. However, despite their wide range of biological activities, there is a need for the development of novel practical and efficient methods for nitrogen heterocyclic synthesis which nowadays becomes an important goal in modern organic synthesis.
The development of new chemical technique has become a key research axis providing solutions to important societal demands by optimizing the use of novel methods, and minimizing waste and environmental impact. In continuation of our work on the synthesis of bioactive molecules and in order to obtain new and highly functioned bis-heterocycles we report here the design and synthesis of a novel series of bis-2-aminopyridines . This novel and original bis-heterocyclic compounds were obtained via the treatment of β-enaminonitrile with various primary diamines. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, MS, 1H, 13C NMR.
