Abstract

La artritis reumatoide puede estar relacionada con la microbiota orofarı́ngea
o intestinal. A mayores, existe una relación entre la disbiosis intestinal y
la AS. Existen modelos experimentales y clı́nicos que han probado que la
microbiota intestinal juega un rol fundamental en la SLE. Es de destacar
que el sistema biológico mucoso es una frontera atractiva en la investigación
reumatológica y existen numerosos retos en este campo.
