Abstract

Los ı́ndices de obesidad de la gran mayorı́a de paı́ses están aumentando y se
prevee que lo sigan haciendo. Destacan la influencia del medio ambiente ası́
como de la microbiota intestinal, cuyo vı́nculo está bien establecido. Exis-
ten múltiples publicaciones en las que se relaciona la falta de diversidad y
riqueza genética en el microbioma con el aumento de peso entre otros pro-
blemas. Aún con todo, no existe consenso de que patrones de la microbiota
intestinal podrı́an utilizarse como biomarcadores.
