Dear Souad Narsis,
Thank you for your helpful question.
The aim of this overview is to study the information present within and attached to hydrogel-related patents. In other words, it concerns determining what has been patented in this field (i.e., hydrogels).
This type of research is known as patent analysis. It's a tool for comparing the patented technology to existing products and technologies, as well as identifying potential licensing or partnership opportunities in a particular technology or market.
