11th Antibiotics Webinar

Structural Aspects of AMPs and Antimicrobials Ⅲ

Dear colleagues, distinguished guests, and friends,

It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you to this webinar. I thank each of you for taking the time to join us to tackling one of the most daunting threats of our time: Antimicrobial resistance, which has quietly but steadily eroded the foundations of modern medicine. Decades of antibiotic overuse, combined with a persistent gap in innovation, have left our therapeutic cupboard increasingly bare. Multidrugresistant pathogens do not respect borders, and they evolve faster than we can respond. The gravity of the situation cannot be overstated. Yet, in the face of this crisis, I see remarkable reasons for hope. We are witnessing a scientific awakening driven by the convergence of powerful technologies, which are not merely incremental improvements, they are fundamentally changing how we discover, understand, design, and deploy new antibiotics.

This webinar brings together some of the most brilliant minds from across disciplines. Their pioneering work illustrates how technological integration and global collaboration are reshaping antiinfective innovation. The solutions we need will not come from a single lab or country, but from open dialogue and collective action. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our speakers for sharing their insights. Let us seize this opportunity to learn, connect, and inspire one another.
