
Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to our webinar on “High-Precision Fabrication via Laser-Based Additive Manufacturing.” I'm delighted to serve as your chair for this exciting session.
Today, we explore how laser-based techniques are pushing the frontiers of additive manufacturing—from nano- to macro-scale, across both polymeric and metallic materials.
We’re honored to have four distinguished researchers with us:
Dr. Wenqi Ouyang will present a groundbreaking holographic two-photon polymerization (TPP) system, enabling high-speed, high-resolution 3D nanofabrication.
Dr. Haitao Ye will dive into smart multimaterial DLP printing, showcasing adaptive energy-dissipating structures with real-world applications in biomedical and vibration control systems.
Dr. Shuo Qu will close with his pioneering work on micro laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) of copper, where material design meets advanced laser processing for high-performance microdevices.
Dr. Junhao Ding will introduce an STL-free toolpath strategy for μLPBF that improves printing efficiency and enables mechanical enhancement through controlled imperfections in metallic lattices.
Together, their insights span the full laser-based AM workflow—from optical system design to material innovation and process optimization.
