1. BIOENG 2026 will accept abstracts only. The accepted abstracts will be available online on Sciforum.net during and after the conference. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to contribute with a full manuscript to a Special Issue related to the conference in the open-access journal Bioengineering, with a 20% discount on the publication fees.
2. The conference will be held fully in person, it is not possible to participate online.

Abstract submissions should be completed online by registering with www.sciforum.net and using the "Submit Abstract" function once logged into the system. No physical template is necessary.

1. Choose a session that is best suited for your research.
2. The abstract structure should include the introduction, methods, results, and conclusions sections of about 200–300 words in length.
2. All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear, publication-ready English with accurate grammar and spelling.
3. Each registration allows submission of only one abstract. However, an author may be listed on multiple abstracts, provided that each abstract has a different registered presenter.
4. All accepted abstracts will be published online on the conference website. Extended papers can be published in Engineering Proceedings (indexed within Scopus, ISSN: 2673-4591) after quality check. If you wish to publish a full-length proceedings paper, please refer to the “Publication Opportunities” Section.
5. The abstracts submitted to this conference must be original and novel, without prior publication in any journals or it will not be accepted to this conference.
6. Upon submission, you can select if you wish to be considered for oral or poster presentation (or both). Following assessment by the Chairs and Scientific Committee, you will be notified by 3 September 2026 whether your contribution has been accepted for oral or poster presentation.
7. Please note that, in order to finalize the scientific program in due time, at least one registration by any of the authors, denoted as the Covering Author, is required to cover the presentation and publication of any accepted abstract. The Covering Author registration deadline is 10 September 2026. Your abstract will be withdrawn if your registration is not complete by this date.
Detailed Requirements:
1. The submitting author must ensure that all co-authors are aware of the contents of the abstract.
2. Please select only one presenter for each submission. If you would like to change the presenter after submission, please email us accordingly.
3. The presenting author must fill in "Biography" when adding submission authors.
Note: We only accept live presentations, no pre-recorded presentations.

- Plenary lecture: 45 minutes, including Q&A;
- Keynote lecture: 30 minutes, including Q&A;
- Invited lecture: 25 minutes, including Q&A;
- Short oral presentation: 15 minutes, including Q&A;
Each presentation should:
- Communicate the research question or objective, methodology, key results, and scientific novelty;
- Use a clear and logical structure, typically the Introduction-Methods-Results and Discussion structure (IMRaD) or a field-appropriate alternative;
- Emphasize the relevance of the work;
- Support key findings with clear figures or tables where appropriate;
- Conclude with a critical interpretation of the results and their impact.
Note:Please ensure that your slides are formatted in a widescreen (16:9) aspect ratio. All presentations must be delivered in English. A link for slide upload will be provided prior to the conference.
Authors are encouraged to prepare a presentation in PowerPoint or similar software, to be uploaded and displayed online along with the abstract. Slides can be prepared in exactly the same way as for any traditional conference where research results are presented. Slides should be converted to PDF format prior to submission so that they can be converted for online display.
Posters will be displayed in portrait orientation on designated poster boards. Each poster should include the following:
- Maximum size: A0 (84 x 120 cm / 33 x 47 in) (in vertical orientation);
- Posters must include: Title, authors, affiliations, and contact information;
- Provide a structured overview of the research, including the objective, a concise description of the methodology, the main results supported by clear and well-labeled figures or tables were appropriate, and a brief conclusion highlighting the key findings and their relevance.
- Authors are responsible for printing their posters prior to the conference.

Any request concerning abstract or proceedings paper withdrawal should be communicated to the Conference Organizing Team as early as possible, preferably prior to final acceptance and confirmation of the conference program. Please note that once abstracts are published in the Conference Report or once Proceedings papers are published in the Proceedings journal and assigned a DOI, they become part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot be fully removed.
AI policy
The responsible use of generative AI tools in the preparation of abstracts, posters, and presentations is permitted; however, any such use must be clearly disclosed, specifying the tool employed and its role. Authors retain full responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of their work.
Authorship
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the work, participated in drafting or critically revising the abstract, and approved the final version. The submitting (presenting) author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the submission, including its content and authorship order.
Requests for changes to authorship (including the addition, removal, or reordering of authors) after submission must be submitted using a signed Authorship Change Form, with written consent from all affected authors. Such requests are subject to review and approval by the Conference Organizing Team.
All authors share collective responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and ethical compliance of the submitted work.
Potential Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the integrity, interpretation, or presentation of their work. Failure to provide accurate disclosures may result in the removal of the abstract from the conference program and associated publications.
If there is no conflict, please state "The authors declare no conflicts of interest." This should be conveyed in a separate "Conflict of Interest" statement preceding the "Acknowledgments" and "References" sections at the end of the manuscript. Any financial support for the study must be fully disclosed in the "Acknowledgments" section.

In accordance with Swiss copyright law, you, as the author, are the original creator of your work and retain full copyright ownership of your submitted abstract.
2. License Grant
By submitting your abstract for publication on the Sciforum.net platform, you grant MDPI, the platform’s publisher, a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:
- Publish, reproduce, and distribute the abstract online.
- Make the abstract publicly available in connection with the conference.
3. Author’s Retained Rights
This license is non-exclusive. As you retain full copyright, you are free to:
- Reuse, republish, and build upon your work in any way.
- Develop the abstract into a full paper for submission to other journals or publications.
- Enter into subsequent agreements, including granting an exclusive license or transferring copyright to another publisher for a future version of the work.
4. Author’s Responsibility
You remain solely responsible for complying with the policies of any other journal or publisher to which you may submit a subsequent version of your work, particularly concerning prior publication rules. MDPI and Sciforum.net bear no responsibility for any conflicts arising from your future submissions.
