Welcome from
the chair

Dear Colleagues,

Following the success of the inaugural conference, it is our pleasure to invite you to join the 2nd International Online Conference on Sensor and Actuator Networks (CSAN 2027), organized by the Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks (ISSN 2224-2708, IF 4.8, CiteScore 11.3), which will be held online from 5 to 6 July 2027.

This conference will explore recent advances in sensing, actuation, and control, with a focus on wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSAN), their integration with Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things, and the security, privacy, and reliability of networked systems. It will also highlight applications across diverse sectors and examine how big data, computing, and artificial intelligence are shaping the future of sensor and actuator networks. CSAN 2027 will address the following session topics:

S1. Sensing, Actuation, and Control
S2. Industry 4.0 and Internet-of-Things-based WSAN
S3. Network Security, Privacy, and Reliability
S4. Applications of WSAN in Agriculture, Vehicle, Wearable Sensors, Smart Cities, Manufacturing, Mobile Systems, and Health and Medical Care
S5. Big Data, Computing and Artificial Intelligence

CSAN 2027 will bring together a global community of scientists and engineers to share recent research findings and discuss current challenges, emerging opportunities, and future directions. The fully online format will enable participation from anywhere in the world without travel or its associated costs, while live Q&A sessions will offer opportunities to exchange ideas, interact with experts, and build connections with fellow researchers.

All submissions will undergo careful peer review by experts in the field, providing valuable feedback on your research. Authors will also be eligible for a publication discount to support the further dissemination of their work, while outstanding contributions may be recognized through conference awards celebrating research excellence and innovation in sensor and actuator networks.

We hope you will join us, present your work at CSAN 2027, and be part of this exciting online event.

Best regards,
Prof. Dr. Lei Shu
