Dr. Fudong Liu

Dr. Fudong Liu

Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Riverside, Riverside, United States;
Dr. Fudong Liu has been working in heterogeneous catalysis, environmental catalysis, pollution control, greenhouse gas reduction/utilization, hydrogen production, and synchrotron-based technique (X-ray absorption spectroscopy) for material characterization for more than 20 years, in both academia (Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of California, Berkeley/Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, University of Central Florida, University of California, Riverside as a tenured associate professor) and industry (BASF Corporation). He has published 150+ peer reviewed papers (including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Nature Communications, ACS Catalysis, Environmental Science & Technology, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental etc.) with 11,800+ citations and H-index of 59 (Google Scholar), applied 40+ patents with 23 granted so far, and published 4 book chapters in heterogenous catalysis field. Dr. Liu received the 2009 CAS P&G Scholarship, 2010 CAS President Scholarship, 2011 CAS Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award, 2012 International Association of Catalysis Societies (IACS) Young Scientist Award, 2013 Lu Jiaxi Young Talent Award, 2014 National Science &Technology Progress Award, 2019 National Natural Science Award, China, 2020 TechConnect Defense Innovation Award, 2023 Research Incentive Award at University of Central Florida, 2024 RINENG (Results in Engineering, Elsevier) Distinguished Scientist Award, and 2024 CAPEES-Carina Frontier Research Award, etc.

Dr. Yue Peng

School of Environment, Tsinghua University, China;
Yue Peng, Associate Researcher of School of Environment, Tsinghua University, recipient of the Excellent Young Scientists Fund, focuses on the research and development of environmental functional materials for purifying motor vehicle exhaust pollutants, and has published 158 papers in Nat. Commun., ACS Catal., Environ. Sci. Technol., and Appl Catal B with more than 13,000 citations. He has been authorized 15 national invention patents and 1 U.S. patent. He has been awarded the First Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress (2021), the Gold Medal of Young Scientist of the Society of Environmental Science (2022), and 2 Gold Medals of the Geneva International Invention Exhibition.

Prof. Dr. Huazhen Chang

Prof. Dr. Huazhen Chang

School of Chemistry and Life Resources, Renmin University of China, China;
Huazhen Chang is currently working as Professor of School of Chemistry and Life Resources at the Renmin University of China, where he heads the “Air pollution control” laboratory. His research interests are in the field of gas pollutants and greenhouse gas elimination. He is involved in experimental investigations in the following fields: New technology for purifying greenhouse gases, multi-pollutants elimination technology for industrial flue gas, design and development of new functional materials, and its applications in the environmental sector. His teaching activity mainly concerns the courses of Air pollution control for bachelor’s degrees and PhD programs. He has co-authored more than 80 papers in journals, with more than 5000 citations and an H-index of 39. Selected into the list of top 2% scientists in the world by Stanford University. Currently, Prof. Chang is part of the Editorial Board of several journals, such as Eco-Environment & Health (EEH), and Green Energy & Environment (GEE), and he collaborates as a referee with numerous scientific journals. Managed or cooperated National-level talent projects, National Key R&D plan Youth Project of China, Natural Science Foundation, and other national projects. Authorized more than ten invention patents.

They summarized the valuable insights into different catalytic processes towards automobile and industrial emission control.
