His research focuses on additive manufacturing, advanced composite materials, joining technologies, sustainable manufacturing, and digital approaches for industrial production. He is responsible for the Living Lab 4 Additive Manufacturing at the University of Messina, where his activities cover polymer-based additive manufacturing technologies, including FFF, mSLA and SLS, multi-material systems, lattice and TPMS structures, and process–structure–property relationships. His research also addresses hybrid manufacturing, friction stir welding, structural adhesives, and advanced manufacturing solutions for the maritime, energy and transportation sectors. He is Associate Researcher at CNR-ITAE and serves on the Editorial Boards of several international journals on manufacturing, materials and engineering.

Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering, University of West Attica, 12244 Athens, Greece;Dr. Antreas Kantaros is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering at the University of West Attica, Greece. His research focuses on additive manufacturing, 3D printing, digital design and manufacturing, 3D scanning, smart production systems, and the integration of advanced digital technologies into engineering and industrial applications. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the fields of additive manufacturing, materials, digital fabrication, cultural heritage digitization, and emerging manufacturing technologies. His research has received significant international recognition, and he has been included in Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists list. Dr. Kantaros also serves as Guest Editor and reviewer for several international scientific journals and is actively involved in research, educational, and collaborative projects related to digital manufacturing and advanced production technologies.
MDPI;Jelena Romcevic holds an M.Sc. degree in molecular biology and physiology, from the University of Belgrade, with a special focus on the experimental physiology of animals and humans. She joined MDPI in 2020 as an Assistant Editor for the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
