Current Oncology is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal that since 1994 represents a multidisciplinary medium for clinical oncologists to report and review progress in the management of this disease, and published monthly online by MDPI (from Volume 28, Issue 1 - 2021). The Canadian Association of Medical Oncologists (CAMO), Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (CAPO), Canadian Association of General Practitioners in Oncology (CAGPO), Cell Therapy Transplant Canada (CTTC) and others are affiliated with Current Oncology.

REAL (Research Excellence + Active Leadership) Canadian Breast Cancer Alliance is a national coalition of leading clinical and academic experts working to advance consistent, evidence-based standards in breast cancer care across Canada. Established in 2023 by Breast Cancer Canada, REAL exists to ensure that the latest research is not only generated, but translated into practical, equitable treatment recommendations that improve care for patients across the country. Under the leadership of Chair Dr. Mita Manna, REAL brings together top Canadian specialists in breast cancer to review emerging evidence and develop national clinical consensus recommendations that reflect both scientific rigour and real-world clinical practice. Breast cancer care is rapidly evolving, with new data continually reshaping how the disease is understood and treated. REAL was created to ensure that these advances are evaluated through a structured, transparent, and evidence-based process so they can be applied consistently across Canada. Clinical consensus recommendations and related publications are developed through a modified Delphi methodology, where experts vote and provide structured input to ensure recommendations are grounded in the best available evidence and strengthened by multidisciplinary clinical expertise. Through this work, REAL supports a more unified approach to breast cancer care—one that helps ensure patients across Canada benefit from the most current science, regardless of their postal code.
