The webinar focused on the quantification of irregularity and complexity of time series and multidimensional data through the use of entropy measures.
Prof. Dr. Luca Faes first developed recent advances in the information-theoretic analysis of time series and, among others, the static and dynamic measures. Dr. Hamed Azami showed us recent entropy measures developed on time series, images, and volumes. Examples performed on biomedical data have been detailed. Finally, Dr. Javier Escudero presented the permutation entropy for graph signals. The corresponding algorithm has been explained and numerical experiments have been developed. The approach for multivariate data has also been detailed.
Please note that this webinar is associated with a Special Issue in the Entropy journal “Entropy Measures to Assess Irregularity and Complexity of Time Series and Multidimensional Data”. The deadline is 31st of July 2023.
