Instructions for Authors
The conference "Entropy 2018: From Physics to Information Sciences and Geometry" will accept abstracts only.
Abstracts accepted will be available online on Sciforum.net during and after the conference. Papers based on the accepted abstracts can be published in the special issue "Entropy: From Physics to Information Sciences and Geometry". Submission deadline: 30 June 2018, we strongly advice to prepare and submit the full paper to this special issue before the conference date. Papers presented at the conference will be granted a 50% discount in this special issue!
Please note that abstract submission and conference registration are two separate processes.

To present your research at the event
  • Create an account on Sciforum.net and follow the procedure to "Submit a New Abstract" in your User Home.
  • Indicate which thematic area is best suited for your research.
  • Submit an abstract in English - the word limits are minimum 150 words and maximum 300 words.
  • The deadline to submit your abstract is 23 February 2018. You will be notified by 16 March 2018 about the acceptance for poster presentation.
  • Upon submission, you can select if you wish to also be considered for oral presentation. Following assessment by the Chair, you will be notified by 16 March 2018 in a separate email whether your contribution has been accepted for oral presentation.
  • Please note that, in order to finalize the scientific program in due time, at least one registration by any of the authors, denoted as Covering Author, is required to cover the presentation and publication of any accepted abstract. Covering Author registration deadline is 16 April 2018.
Poster Information

Maximum poster size limited to 90x140cm, vertical orientation preferred. Please print your poster prior to the conference.

The Poster Sessions will be organized as follows:

  • Day 1: Coffee Breaks 1 & 2 – Posters from S1, S2 & S3
  • Day 2: Coffee Break 1 – Posters from S1, S2 & S3 // Coffee Break 2 – Posters from S4, S5 & S6
  • Day 3: Coffee Breaks 1 & 2 – Posters from S4, S5 & S6

It is suggested that all posters be on display during the whole conference. Presenters must be available at their posters for at least one coffee break (see above). If your availability does not match the suggested schedule, please leave a note on your poster board indicating when you will be at your poster (‘schedule notes’ will be available at the Registration Desk upon request).

The Registration Desk will be located right next to the Posters area. Staff will be available to assist you with the location of your poster and other on-site needs. Push pins, double-sided tape, and scissors will be available for your use. Additional supplies will not be available. If you have special needs for your poster presentation, bring those supplies with you to the meeting.

All posters must be removed by Wednesday at 18:00. After that time, they will be removed and recycled by the Conference staff.

Other Information
Photographs and/or video will be taken during the conference.
By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the conference’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.
