Dear Colleagues,
I am honoured to welcome you to the 1st International Conference on Algorithms and Computers (IOCAC2027), hosted by the MDPI journals Algorithms (ISSN 1999-4893, Impact Factor 2.6) and Computers (ISSN 2073-431X, Impact Factor 5.2), in collaboration with co-organizing journals Data (ISSN 2306-5729, Impact Factor 2.4), Future Internet (ISSN 1999-5903, Impact Factor 4.6), and Information (ISSN 2078-2489, Impact Factor 4.3). This three-day virtual event will bring together global experts to explore innovative directions across computing, intelligence, and next-generation networks.
Technology stands at a crucial crossroads: advanced algorithms meet distributed data, and emerging intelligence converges with complex systems, driving the digital transformation of society forward. Against this backdrop, IOCAC2027 aims to bring together cutting-edge perspectives, focusing on how fundamental computational theories, secure infrastructures, and data-driven insights can deliver meaningful technological and scientific advances. We sincerely invite computer scientists, data analysts, engineers, and scholars to join us and share their insights and latest research at this inaugural event.
IOCAC2027 will feature a wide range of sessions covering critical topics in computer science and information systems, including, but not limited to, the following:

Meet Our Chairs
Department of Computer Science & Engineering (DISI), University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy;Dr. Paolo Bellavista is a Full Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DISI), Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, Italy. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Computers (MDPI). He is also an Editorial Board member of several prestigious journals, including IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC), IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management (TNSM), Springer Journal of Network and Systems Management (JNSM), Elsevier Pervasive and Mobile Computing (PMCJ), Springer Wireless Networks (WINET), and Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA). Together with Antonio Corradi, he co-edited The Handbook of Mobile Middleware. His research interests include mobile middleware, network computing, distributed systems, and pervasive computing.
Faculty of Mathematics, Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, Magdeburg, Germany;For over 40 years, Prof. Frank Werner has studied exact and approximate solutions to diverse scheduling problems. Starting around 1980 with genetic algorithms for flow shop scheduling, his research also involves computational complexity, uncertain scheduling, train scheduling and graph theory. He has taken part in research projects supported by DFG, INTAS and the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research. His publications include 2 math textbooks, 17 compiled/edited books, and over 300 journal papers.

To acknowledge the support of the conference's esteemed authors and recognize their outstanding scientific accomplishments, we are pleased to announce the establishment of the Best Oral Presentation Award and Best Poster Award.
1. Best Oral Presentation Award
Eligibility: Open to all authors selected as oral speakers who have delivered their presentation. Failure to present, delegation of the presentation to another person, or use of AI-generated voice or similar substitutes will result in disqualification.
Criteria: Evaluation considers scientific rigor (clear, literature-supported research question or hypothesis, appropriate methodology, robust analysis and critical discussion of the results), IMRaD/field-appropriate structure, clarity of presented data (clear, well-labeled figures and tables), presentation skills and audience engagement, demonstrated scientific novelty and impact.
Prize: A prize of CHF 200 and a certificate in recognition of your outstanding contribution.
2. Best Poster Award
Eligibility: Open to all authors who have presented their work through posters. Failure to present, delegation of the presentation to another person, or use of AI-generated voice or similar substitutes will result in disqualification.
Criteria: Evaluation considers scientific rigor (clear, literature-supported research question or hypothesis, appropriate methodology, robust analysis, and critical discussion of the results), IMRaD/field-appropriate structure enabling independent understanding, clarity of presented data (clear, well-labeled figures and tables), presentation skills (if orally presented), demonstrated scientific novelty and impact.
Prize: A prize of CHF 200 and a certificate in recognition of your outstanding contribution.

Announcement of Winners: The award winners will be evaluated and selected by the scientific committee after the conference. Results will be announced on the website, and all winners will be individually contacted via email.
