It is a pleasure to announce the 1st International Online Conference on Agriculture - Advances in Agricultural Science and Technology (IOCAG2022). This e-conference is organized by Agriculture, a peer-reviewed open access international journal of MDPI (2020 impact factor 2.925). IOCAG2022 will be held online (Sciforum) from February 10 to 25 in 2022.

Agriculture was a major development in human history, leading to the rise and flourishing of civilization. It plays a critical role in human society, serving as the backbone of the economic system. Modern agriculture provides the raw materials for most of the world’s food and for many industrial products, including textiles. Significant scientific and technological advances over the years have led to great increases in agricultural productivity as well as to reducing environmental impacts. Nevertheless, agricultural systems of the future face huge challenges in balancing and optimizing productivity and profitability against stewardship of ecosystems and natural resources. This conference will provide an online open forum for agricultural scientists and engineers to discuss these challenges and share their latest research achievements in agricultural science and technology. This online IOCAG2022 Conference will bring together researchers from all over the world without concerns over travel or other related expenditures. The Conference will feature live-streamed webinars and will include both invited speakers and contributed speakers selected from submissions received. The webinars will contain a Q&A session to for live online audiences.

Participation in and “attendance” at IOCAG2022 will be free of charge.

The conference invites submissions of abstracts, which will be reviewed by the conference committee. Authors of accepted contributions will be invited to submit a proceedings paper, a slide presentation, a poster and/or a video presentation of their work. All participants will have the opportunity to examine, explore and critically engage with research findings published in Sciforum during the conference.

All accepted proceedings papers will be published in the proceedings of this e-conference within a dedicated issue of the MDPI journal Proceedings. In addition, all participants will be encouraged to submit a full paper to one dedicated Special Issue in Agriculture with a 20% discount on the Article Processing Charges (APC).
