The 1st International Online Conference on Healthy Ageing (IOCHA 2027) is organized by MDPI Topics, which focuses on specific multidisciplinary topics published in two or more MDPI journals, allowing authors from different research areas to unite around one theme, describe multi- and interdisciplinary applications, and develop new ideas.
This year's conference will be held online from 14th to 15th June 2027 with no registration fee, providing an exceptional opportunity for researchers, healthcare professionals, clinicians, and scientists worldwide to share their latest findings, engage in meaningful discussions, address emerging challenges, and contribute to shaping a healthier future for ageing societies.
I invite researchers and scholars to present their latest research, participate in interactive discussions, and join live Q&A sessions that will further advance research and innovation in the field of Healthy Ageing.
Key discussion topics of this conference include the following:
1. Biological foundations of healthy ageing;
2. Brain, cognition, and mental health in ageing;
All submitted abstracts will be subject to review by the conference committee before publication, ensuring high-quality scientific contributions are published and that all proposals receive constructive feedback. Accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website following final approval.
Furthermore, outstanding contributions from each session will be eligible for conference awards of monetary prizes and online certificates.

Meet Our Chair
Department of Psychiatry and Forensic Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Neuroscience, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain;Prof. Dr. Lydia Giménez-Llort is the first woman in Catalonia and the third in Spain to be appointed Full Professor of Psychiatry. She is a professor and researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), specializing in healthy aging, translational behavioral neuroscience, and neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer's disease. She holds PhDs in Anatomical Pathology (CSIC–University of Barcelona, 1996) and Psychiatry (UAB, 2024). She serves as Head of Gender Medicine at the UAB Faculty of Medicine, is a member of the European COST Action TD1005 on pain in dementia, and led Spain's participation in the Horizon 2020 FET-OPEN ArrestAD project.
