I am pleased to announce the 1st online International Conference on Membranes (IOCMBS 2027), which will take place from 22-23 June 2027, and on behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to invite you cordially to participate in it.

S3. Membrane Technologies for Energy Applications;
S4. Membrane Technologies for Water and Wastewater Treatment;
S5. Membrane Technologies for Gas Separation and Cross-Disciplinary Fields.
In addition to eliminating the expenses associated with travel and accommodation required for attending traditional conferences, there will be no registration fee, thus making participation in this online conference easily accessible to researchers with limited financial resources. We are enthusiastic about welcoming not only established membrane researchers, early career researchers and PhD students from academia but also membrane researchers from industry.

Meet Our Chair
School of Chemistry, The University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia;Spas Kolev is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Melbourne. He graduated from the University of Sofia in 1982 and earned his PhD in 1988 under Prof. Ernö Pungor in Budapest. After postdoctoral work in the Netherlands, he held academic positions in Sofia until 1996, then moved to La Trobe University. He joined the University of Melbourne in 2001, becoming professor in 2012. His research focuses on flow analysis, chemical sensors, polymer inclusion membranes, and environmental applications such as phytoremediation. He has published over 190 papers, co-edited a book, and delivered around 50 invited talks. Kolev has received multiple Australian Research Council grants and nearly $10 million in research funding. His awards include several international chemistry prizes recognizing his contributions. He serves as Editor-in-Chief or board member for several scientific journals and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute.

Institute on Membrane Technology “Enrico Drioli” of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-ITM), Rende (CS), Italy ;Alberto Figoli is Director of the Institute on Membrane Technology “Enrico Drioli” of National Research Council of Italy (CNR-ITM), Rende (CS) Italy, since 1st March 2019. He is President of the Territorial CNR Research Area of Cosenza, since 1st January 2021. He is the Founder and Scientific Advisor of the Start-up Company WembraneX Srl (Italy), 2023. Winner of Global Prize for Innovation in Desalination 2024 – Section “Beyond Water”, Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) 2023. He is involved in many international, European and National projects, as coordinator and CNR-ITM scientific responsible and/or participant. He has been invited speakers in many international Conferences and Courses. He is reviewer of several international projects with most prestigious Agencies. He is author of more than 300 scientific papers and chapters published in international journals and 9 National/International patents on membrane technology. He is Co-Editor of 9 books and many special issues. Hindex (Scopus) 63. Alberto Figoli is expert in the field of membrane technology, in membrane preparation and characterisation and application in environmental filed.
