Advancing Pathogen Research: Unraveling Mechanisms, Strengthening Preparedness, and Advancing Global Health

We are delighted to welcome you to the 1st International Online Conference on Pathogens (IOCPa 2027), hosted by the MDPI journal Pathogens (ISSN 2076-0817, IF 3.8, CiteScore 6.7, indexed in PubMed). This three-day virtual event will take place on 15–17 June 2027 (CEST).

IOCPa 2027 brings together researchers, clinicians, public health professionals, industry experts, and policymakers from around the world to explore the latest advances in pathogen biology, host–pathogen interactions, infectious disease prevention, and therapeutic innovation. As emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases continue to challenge global health, this conference provides a multidisciplinary platform to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and accelerate scientific discoveries that improve disease surveillance, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

IOCPa 2027 will feature a wide range of sessions covering critical topics, including but not limited to the following:
S1. Viral Pathogens: Replication, Pathogenesis, and Antiviral Strategies;
S2. Bacterial Pathogens: Virulence Mechanisms and Resistance;
S3. Parasitic Pathogens: Host Adaptation and Disease Control;
S4. Fungal Pathogens: Pathogenicity and Emerging Threats;
S5. Immunological Responses to Infection: From Innate Immunity to Immunopathology;
S6. Next-Generation Vaccines and Therapeutics Across Pathogen Kingdoms;
S7. Vector-Borne and Zoonotic Diseases: Ticks and Beyond;
S8. Epidemiology and Outbreak Analytics for Emerging Infectious Diseases.

We warmly invite you to submit your abstracts to IOCPa 2027 and share your latest discoveries, innovative methodologies, and translational research in pathogen and infectious disease science. This conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with an international community of experts, exchange ideas across disciplines, and contribute to advancing our understanding of pathogens and improving global preparedness against infectious diseases. Together, let us drive innovation and collaboration toward a healthier and more resilient future.
