The 4th International Online Conference on Toxins

Dear Colleagues,

I am excited to announce the launch of the 4th International Online Conference on Toxins (IOCT 2027). The conference, organized by the MDPI open access journal Toxins (ISSN: 2072-6651; Impact Factor: 4.0), will be held online from 3 to 5 November 2027.

Building on the success of our previous online conferences, we will continue this year by offering the Best Oral Presentation Award,  the Best Poster Award, and  the Young Investigator Award. The Young Investigator award is designed to honor and encourage the outstanding achievements of young researchers in toxin research. We encourage submissions from young investigators for this special category.

There will be six areas of focus at IOCT 2027, providing ample opportunities for the written and oral presentations of new, exciting studies covering the field of toxinology. The main topics and sessions of the conference are as follows:

Session 1: Plant, Animal, Insect, and Microbial Toxins: New Developments;
Session 2: Novel Insights on the Mechanism of Action and/or Pathophysiology of Toxins;
Session 3: Use of Toxins as Tools for Research, Drug Discovery, and Therapeutics;
Session 4: Impact of Toxins on Human and Animal Health;
Session 5: Impact of Toxins on Agriculture and Ecology;
Session 6: Emerging Applications of AI/ML/LLM in Toxinology.

I wish to point out that Session 6 focuses on an emerging area of one the most dynamic and fast-growing fields in toxinology. These AI systems are increasingly opening incredible new opportunities in toxin prediction, discovery, data analysis, and therapeutic development, with the potential to impact all domains of toxinology.

I hope that you will consider submitting your recent research findings and insights to us at the conference. Your contributions will greatly enrich scientific exchange and foster collaborative discussions among attendees at the 4th International Online Conference on Toxins!
