Environmental and Sanitary Engineering at the University of Salerno, Italy ;Giovanni De Feo is Associate Professor of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering at the University of Salerno, Italy. His research and teaching activities focus on waste management, circular economy, life cycle assessment, environmental sustainability, and environmental education and communication. He is the author of around 200 scientific publications and has extensive experience as an editor, Topic Editor, reviewer, and member of editorial boards of international journals. He is also the creator of Greenopoli, an environmental education and communication project launched in 2006 that combines scientific knowledge, storytelling, creativity, and direct engagement with schools, institutions, companies, and local communities.

Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano, Italy ;Emanuele Ogliari is an Associate Professor at the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano, Italy, where he teaches Electrical Engineering at the Photovoltaic Systems Laboratory. He received his M.Sc. and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2016. Since 2010, his research has addressed the design, optimization, and performance assessment of photovoltaic plants, and since 2012 his work has addressed the estimation of the expected power output of renewable energy sources by means of artificial intelligence techniques. He has collaborated with international universities and research centers, including the University of Danang—University of Science and Technology, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and the Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute Europe. In 2013, he received the Italy–Israel Joint Laboratories on Solar Energy (ILSE) award. He is serving as Topic Editor for the MDPI Topic “Solar and Wind Power and Energy Forecasting”, and is IEEE senior Member and Editor of the IEEE Journal of Photovoltaics.

University of Connecticut, USA;Hanlin Zhou is a tenure-track assistant professor at the University of Connecticut who completed his PhD at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on how the built environment is associated with health behaviors, crime risks, and urban resilience.

MDPI;Natasa Miladinovic holds a master’s degree in Spatial Planning and a second master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Belgrade. She joined MDPI in 2020, where she worked as an Assistant Editor and Special Issue Editor for several years. Since 2022, she has served as a Journal Relations Specialist at MDPI, as well as a Senior Conference Representative. Since 2025, she has been working as Deputy Managing Editor for the journal Sustainability.
