On Monday, 27 June 2022, MDPI and the Materials Journal organized the 8th webinar on Materials, entitled "New Cements to Mitigate the Climatic Change". The introduction was held by the Chair of the webinar, Dr. Miguel Ángel Sanjuán, and his presentation "The New European Standard EN 197-5:2021 of Portland-Composite Cement CEM II/C-M and Composite Cement CEM VI as a Lever to Contribute to the Mitigation of the Effects of Climate Change". The following presentation was held by Dr. Luigi Coppola with his presentation "A Sustainability Index for Construction Materials: Performance, Durability and Environmental Parameters". The last presenter Dr. Sukhoon Pyo talked about "How Efficiently Can Waste Concrete Powder and Bottom Ash Powder Be Used for Sustainable Concrete?". The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion, moderated by the Chair Dr. Miguel Ángel Sanjuán.

The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend. The full recording can be found below. In order to stay updated on the next webinars on Materials, be sure to sign up for our newsletter by clicking on “Subscribe” at the top of the page.
