This webinar highlighted the pivotal role of multimodality imaging in refining the diagnosis, risk stratification, and procedural planning for patients with aortic stenosis (AS) and mitral regurgitation (MR). By integrating echocardiography, cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), and computed tomography (CT), clinicians can overcome the limitations of single-modality assessment and move toward highly personalized patient management.

Discussion emphasized that no single imaging modality fits all scenarios. Future workflows must routinely integrate anatomical data (CT/3D-echo) with tissue characterization (CMR) and hemodynamic data (Doppler) to guide the Heart Team's decisions.

Multimodality imaging is no longer just a luxury but a clinical necessity in valvular heart disease. Transitioning from a "valve-centric" to a "myocardial-centric" approach—evaluating how the ventricle responds to the valvular lesion—is key to improving long-term patient outcomes in both AS and MR.
