


On Wednesday, 8 February 2023, MDPI and the Journal Pharmaceutics organized the 2nd Webinar of the Pharmaceutics series, entitled “3D and 4D Printing in Pharmaceutics”. This online seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Dimitrios A. Lamprou, School of Pharmacy, Queen’s University Belfast, UK, and discussed state-of-the-art 3D & 4D printing for pharmaceutical applications, as well as some regulatory considerations.
The first speaker to kick off the webinar was Dr. Dolores R. Serrano, who gave a talk on 3D printing technologies for innovative medicines. Dr. Lucia Zema followed with her presentation on the introduction of the fourth dimension (4D printing) in the field. Finally, Dr. João F. Pinto addressed the use of FDM 3D printing for the manufacturing of individualized medicines. Speaker presentations were followed by a Q&A session moderated by the chair.
