Religions Webinar | Perceived Changes During the COVID-19 Pandemic

On Thursday, 20 January 2022, MDPI and the Journal Religions organized the 2nd webinar on Religions, entitled "Perceived Changes During the COVID-19 Pandemic".

The introduction was held by the Chair of the webinar, Prof. Dr. Klaus Baumann. He is a Catholic diocesan priest sand professor at the Faculty of Theology at Freiburg University. His field of research and teaching is Caritas Science and Christian Social Work. He is further a trained psychologist and psychological psychotherapist in private clinical practice, in addition to continuous pastoral ministry in parishes and jail, and serving on various scientific and advisory boards.

The first speaker to quick off this webinar was Prof. Dr. Arndt Büssing, with his presentation "Perceived changes of attitudes and behaviors during the pandemic and their association with indicators of wellbeing, stressors and spirituality". He is a medical doctor and professor for quality of life, spirituality and coping at the Witten/Herdecke University and has been associated as a research professor at IUNCTUS - Competence Center for Christian Spirituality at the Philosophical-Theological University of Münster since 2016.

The second presentation with the title "Perceived changes of attitudes and behaviors in Iranian people" was held by Prof. Dr. Maryam Rassouli. She is a professor of nursing at Cancer Research Center, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Her main research field is scale development, palliative care, and spirituality in the context of cancer. She is associate editor of International Journal of Cancer Management.

The third presentation "Perceived changes of attitudes and behaviors in people from Israel" by Prof. Dr. Yuval Vered. He is a Professor in Public Health Dentistry with experience in community oral health promotion programs and clinical studies. His central areas of research activity have concentrated on psychosocial determinants of oral health, immigrant populations, preventive dentistry and oral health promotion, and clinical research of oral hygiene aids.

The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion, moderated by the Chair Prof. Dr. Klaus Baumann. The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend.
