Dear Colleague,
I am pleased to welcome you to the Sensors 2021 Young Investigator Award Ceremony.
The Sensors journal has organized the Young Investigator Award since 2018, aimed to give the young investigators in recognition of their excellence in the field of sensors and sensing-related topics.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the ceremony will not be presented at the offline conference. Therefore, after discussion, it will be held online on 21st March 2022 instead. In this ceremony, I am very happy to present the winners of the prestigious 2021 Young Investigator Award. The Award Committee has selected the winners of the 2021 Edition among a very large number (about one hundred) of high-level candidates by the Committee, on the basis of candidate curriculum, the ground-breaking research and outstanding contribution in the field of sensors, and the number of publications and research grants as well as the nomination letters. The winners are two outstanding and promising professors, Dr. Qammer H. Abbasi and Dr. Chi Hwan Lee. In this ceremony, we will have the opportunity to learn more about the winners and listen to their presentations on their latest outstanding research achievements.
Moreover, I am happy to inform you that the Sensors 2022 Young Investigator Award has also been launched; the nomination deadline is 25th September 2022. The announcement of the 2022 winners will be given in middle November. You are more than welcome to follow this award by subscribing to the Sensors journal.
The Section Editor-in-Chief of Sensors, Prof. Vittorio M.N. Passaro
