An alumnus of Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering - Transylvania University of Brasov, he finished his PhD thesis in 1999, focusing on the ecology of some valuable broadleaved trees. He is a senior researcher, and has published 139 ISI articles, with Hirch index=20. He is responsible for 38 research projects, in the scientific fields of ecology and forest soils.

Bio
An alumnus of the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering - Transylvania University of Brasov (class 2009), he finished his PhD thesis in 2012, which was focused on forest genetics. In 2013, he continued within the Master’s Programme within University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest focusing on learning management in agricultural sciences. Since 2012, he has worked as a Lecturer for Forestry within the Department of Soil Sciences - University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest. In the last 14 years, Mihai was involved in several educational projects implemented by representative environmental NGOs from Romania. He worked also in the forest research field (for less than a year), wood industry sector (for one year), Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (for four years, as the Minister’s personal advisor and as Chief of Staff of the Secretary of State for Forests).
