On Wednesday, 9 March 2022, MDPI and the Journal Symmetry organized the 1st Webinar on Symmetry, entitled "Research on Nonlinear Analysis and Its Applications”. This online seminar was chaired by Dr. Alexander Zaslavski from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel.

The first speaker to kick off the webinar was Prof. Dr. Stefania Petra and discussed different viewpoints on local classification of metric data, outlined how local decisions are aggregated into non-local interacting decisions through regularization, and explained her recent work on parameter learning from data using a suitable linearization of assignment flows and low-rank exponential integration. The webinar’s chair Dr. Alexander Zaslavski followed with his talk on a class of set-valued mappings arising in mathematical economics. The talks were followed by Q&A sessions moderated by the chair.

The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend. The full recording can be found below. In order to stay updated on the next webinars on Symmetry, be sure to sign up for our newsletter by clicking on “Subscribe” at the top of the page.
