On Friday, 20 May 2022, MDPI and the Journal Symmetry organized the 4th webinar on Symmetry, entitled "Beyond Standard Model".
The introduction was held by the Chair of the webinar, Dr. Olga Kodolova from the Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia. Her fields of interest include hadronic calorimetry, particle reconstruction and identification in heavy ion collisions, jet reconstruction and calibration, Standard Model and Beyond searches using CMS data, and computing.
The first speaker to kick off this webinar was Prof. Dr. Abdelhak Djouadi from the University of Granada in Spain. His field of research is theoretical physics and the phenomenology of strong and electroweak interactions of elementary particles and the search for new physics beyond the Standard Model, the fundamental theory that presently describes them. His presentation was entitled "Why Do We Need Physics Beyond the Standard Model?".
The second presentation with the title "Searches for Beyond Standard Model Physics in Higgs Boson Sector at LHC" was held by Dr. Alexandre Nikitenko from the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" in Moscow, Russia. His research interests include particle reconstruction and identification and searches for an additional Higgs boson using CMS data.
The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion, moderated by the Chair. The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend. The full recording can be found here on Sciforum website.
