It is a pleasure to welcome you to this special UK-wide Reviewer Club online webinar to celebrate Peer Review Week 2026, themed "Peer Review Capacity: Volume, Speed, and Quality". This session is open to reviewers across all disciplines based in the UK and will focus on shared experiences, practical challenges, and best practices in peer review. Ms. Isabel Nelson

MDPI UK;
Isabel Nelson is an Associate Editorial Engagement Manager, based in Manchester. She joined MDPI in September 2021, working as an Assistant Editor, before progressing to Deputy Managing Editor for the journal's Healthcare and the European Burn Journal. As Editorial Engagement Manager, she is responsible for managing a team of Deputy Managing Editors across Northern Europe, monitoring journal outreach and assisting with editorial engagement events.

Dr. Tom Hewat

MDPI UK;
Dr. Tom Hewat is a Research Integrity Specialist at MDPI, based in Manchester. He has a background in rare disease genetics research, and joined MDPI in 2024 as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Clinical Medicine. Since March 2025, he has worked in the Research Integrity team at MDPI, supporting journals in resolving ethical issues within both manuscripts under consideration and those that have been published, as well as supporting in developing MDPI's publication ethics policies.

Dr. Bodhayan Prasad

University of Glasgow;
Dr Bodhayan Prasad is a computational biologist and data scientist with expertise in AI-driven analysis of large-scale biomedical data, including single-cell transcriptomics, spatial omics, proteomics and population-scale cohorts. He has led projects spanning cancer biology, multimorbidity, health inequalities and precision medicine, with publications in leading journals and experience translating research into clinically actionable insights, machine-learning tools and patented technologies. His interests lie at the intersection of computational biology, artificial intelligence and translational medicine, with a focus on improving patient outcomes through data-driven discovery.

Dr. Hamish Chalmers

University of Oxford;
Dr. Hamish Chalmers is a departmental lecturer at the Department of Education, University of Oxford. His research interest centres on the evaluation of pedagogical approaches to teaching children who use English as an Additional Language (EAL). His methodological interest is in randomised trials and systematic reviews.
