Prof. Dr. Peter Brimblecombe

Emeritus Professor, School of Environmental Sciences, UEA Norwich, UK and Distinguished Research Chair Professor, Department of Marine Environment and Engineering, National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan;
Prof Peter Brimblecombe was born in Australia and went to university in Auckland, New Zealand completing a PhD atmospheric chemistry. He spent some four decades at the School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia led to research on long-term changes in urban air pollution and effects on health and buildings. He has written a number of books perhaps most notably the historical work, The Big Smoke. In recent years he has shifted focus to environmental issues in Asia working at City University of Hong Kong and National Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan.

On Thursday, 1 September 2022, MDPI and the Heritage Journal organized the 1st Heritage webinar, entitled "Effective Modelling in Heritage Science".

The introduction was held by the Chair of the webinar, Prof. Dr. Peter Brimblecombe. He was born in Australia and went to university in Auckland, New Zealand completing a PhD atmospheric chemistry. He was also the first speaker with his presentation "Effective Modelling in Heritage Science".

The second presentation was held by Dr. Jenny Richards with her presentation "Presentation Modelling Climate and Timber Heritage". She works as a researcher and tutor at St John’s College and the School of Geography and the Environment at University of Oxford.

The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion, moderated by the Chair Prof. Dr. Peter Brimblecombe. The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend.
