Dr. Ricardo N. M. J. Páscoa

Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto, Portugal;Ricardo N.M.J. Páscoa is currently a researcher at LAQV\REQUIMTE\Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP), Portugal. His research focuses on vibrational spectroscopy and chemometrics, particularly the application of near-infrared (NIR), mid-infrared (FTIR), and Raman spectroscopy for the rapid, cost-effective, and non-destructive analysis of complex samples. More recently, he has also been interested in applying QDs to the development of analytical methods. His work encompasses quantitative analysis, sample classification, authenticity assessment, and process monitoring across food, pharmaceutical, and environmental applications. He is particularly interested in developing sustainable analytical solutions that combine spectroscopic techniques with advanced data analysis and machine learning for quality control and real-time monitoring.
