On Tuesday, 8 February 2021, MDPI and the Journal ncRNA organized the1st webinar on ncRNA, entitled "MicroRNA in Cancer Pathogenesis".
The introduction was held by the Chair of the webinar, Prof. Dr. George A. Calin, a Professor of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, United States. He explores new RNA therapeutic options for cancer patients and studies the roles of microRNAs and other non-coding RNAs in cancer initiation and progression, as well as the mechanisms of cancer predisposition.
The speaker for this webinar was Prof. Dr. Carlo M. Croce. In his scientific career, Prof. Croce has studied various aspects of human cancer genetics. His lab at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus (United States) researches early changes of malignancy and how they might serve as targets for new treatment and preventive agents.
The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion. The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend. The full recording can be found here on Sciforum website.
