Welcome to the Outstanding Reviewer Award Ceremony hosted by the European Journal of Investigation in Health, Psychology and Education (EJIHPE).
We are pleased to present the Outstanding Reviewer Award to Dr. Alina Cernasev in recognition of her meticulous and dedicated contributions to the peer review process. Her commitment to providing thoughtful and constructive reviews has been instrumental in supporting the journal and ensuring the publication of high-quality research.
As part of this ceremony, our active reviewers, Dr. Alina Cernasev and Dr. Giulio de Felice, together with our Editorial Board Member, Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Rogowska, will share their insights and experiences in peer review, as well as perspectives on maintaining rigor and quality in academic publishing.

My Path as an EJIHPE Reviewer: Ensuring Rigor, Relevance, Growth, and Takeaways
Dr. Alina Cernasev is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Pharmacy. She earned her PharmD (2015) and PhD in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (2019) from the University of Minnesota, building on earlier training that includes a Master’s Degree in Drug Delivery from the University of London (2004) and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Romania (2002). Driven by a passion for understanding and improving patient experiences, Dr. Cernasev’s research integrates health behavior theories with social-cognitive and behavioral psychology to explore how community pharmacists influence patient care. Her work has resulted in over 70 peer reviewed publications and has been supported by awards from the NIH and the pharmaceutical industry. She serves as a reviewer for numerous journals across pharmacy, public health, and healthcare, earning multiple recognitions for her highquality reviews from the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association, Research in Social & Administrative Pharmacy, Exploratory Research in Clinical & Social Pharmacy, Medicine, and others. Recently, her collaborative work was honored with the Best Paper Award from Clinics and Practice. She serves as an Associate Editor for EJIHPE and ERCSP, helping shape impactful research in the field.

Dr. Giulio de Felice is an Associate Professor of Dynamic Psychology at Universitas Mercatorum in Rome, Italy, and a practicing psychologist and psychotherapist. He has held academic positions across leading institutions, including Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Chichester in London, where he taught dynamic, clinical, and developmental psychology. Dr. de Felice’s research focuses on psychotherapy processes, complexity science, and the dynamics of psychological change. His work integrates approaches from statistical mechanics and dynamical systems to better understand therapeutic outcomes, empathy, and clinical interactions. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and contributed to international research on psychotherapy, including studies published in journals such as Frontiers in Psychology and Acta Psychologica. In addition to his academic work, Dr. de Felice is actively involved in international research communities, serving in roles within organizations such as the International Society for Psychotherapy Research and the European Association for Psychotherapy. His interdisciplinary expertise bridges clinical practice, research, and complex systems theory, offering innovative perspectives on mental health and human behavior.

Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Rogowska is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Psychology, University of Opole, Poland, and a member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Investigation in Health, Psychology and Education (EJIHPE). Her research focuses on clinical and general psychology, with particular interests in individual differences, personality, and the development and validation of psychological measurement tools. She has extensive expertise in mental health, behavioral addictions, and well-being, with a strong emphasis on empirical and cross-cultural research. Prof. Rogowska has authored over 100 scientific publications and contributed to a wide range of studies on topics such as stress, coping strategies, life satisfaction, and psychological functioning, particularly among university populations and during global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work combines rigorous quantitative methods with practical applications in mental health and education, contributing to a deeper understanding of psychological well-being across diverse populations.
