Invited Speakers
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia
Joško Parunov is a Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb, Croatia. His research interest is focused on hydrodynamic, structural and reliability analysis of marine structures, including prediction of environmental loads, ultimate strength, fatigue, structural reliability, and dynamic responses. He participated in numerous industry projects related to ships’ and offshore floating structures’ structural analysis (strength, fatigue and vibration). Since 2006, he has been a member of the International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress (ISSC) committees. Presently, he is a member of the Joint ISSC-ITTC Committee, which deals with Uncertainty modelling in waves and wave-induced responses. Since 2014., he has been a chairman of the Standing Committee of the Symposium on Theory and Practice of Shipbuilding in memoriam of prof. Leopold Sorta. He is an editorial board member of Brodogradnja and the Journal of Marine Science and Application.
