PEAK Performance: Physical Endurance And Knowledge for Task Success

PEAK captures the seminar's focus on both physical and mental dimensions needed to achieve top performance across different tasks, emphasizing resilience, capacity, and mindset as critical components for success. Recognizing that successful task delivery relies on both mental and physical capacities, the talks will address how physical capability, mental resilience, and effective psychological strategies converge to support high performance. Associate Professor Cloak will discuss the foundational role of physical readiness, highlighting how endurance, strength, and recovery impact task success. Professor Devonport will delve into mental skills training, illustrating how techniques like mindfulness and visualization boost cognitive focus under pressure. Professor Lane will focus behavior change will examine how belief systems and self-efficacy influence adherence to interventions, shedding light on the psychology behind sustained performance improvements. This integrated approach offers valuable insights for individuals aiming to optimize their capabilities across various settings.
