A Celebration of Separations’ 10th Anniversary I

We are delighted to welcome you to a special webinar — A Celebration of Separations’ 10th Anniversary I. Over the past decade, Separations has established itself as a reputable publication in the field of separation science.

This milestone is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our authors, reviewers, Editorial Board Members, and readers. As we commemorate this achievement, we reflect on the impactful studies and breakthroughs that have been published in our journal.

Today's webinar brings together renowned experts and emerging scholars from around the world to share their latest research findings and insights into separation science. We are honored to have a distinguished lineup of speakers who will cover a wide range of topics.

We hope this event will not only celebrate the journal's past successes but also inspire new ideas and collaborations that will drive the field forward.

Thank you for joining us in celebrating the 10th anniversary of Separations. We look forward to an inspiring and enriching webinar.

Introduction
Bio
Sascha Nowak studied chemistry at the University of Münster and received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry. After his doctorate, he joined the working group of Prof. Winter at the MEET Battery Research Center in 2009 as a postdoctoral researcher, where he established the analytical department. From 2010 to 2012, he was the head of the Analytics and Recycling competence areas and, since 2012, he has worked as a member of the scientific staff at the MEET Battery Research Center at Münster University as the head of the Analytics and Environment division, which mainly focuses on electrolyte aging, transition metal migration and surface investigations, recycling and second life, and toxicological investigations.

Talk
Implementing GC×GC Methods Is Fundamentally Very Simple—But the Data It Produces Are (R)evolutionary
Bio
Professor Marriott’s research commenced at LaTrobe University (Ph.D.) and then continued at Bristol (Postdoc in Geochemistry). His academic appointments include the National University of Singapore, the RMIT in Melbourne, and, now, Monash University. His primary research is on comprehensive two-dimensional GC (GC×GC) and multidimensional GC, and mass spectrometry, including fundamental development, modulator design, and a broad application base, which includes pesticides; petrochemicals; pharmaceuticals; foods, flavors and beverage analysis; natural products; and toxins. These applications feature strongly amongst the key directions for the advanced separations technologies he has developed. He has had visiting appointments in China, South Korea, Brazil, and Malaysia.

Bio
Erwin Rosenberg is a Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Head of the Research Group for Organic Trace Analysis at the Institute of Chemical Technologies and Analytics of the Vienna University of Technology. Prior to his habilitation in 2000, he received both his diploma and PhD from the same university. During the years 2003-2006, he also worked as a Guest Professor at the University of Leoben (Austria), and lectured at the Technical University of Gdansk, the University of Plovdiv, and the University of Thessaloniki. He is a specialist in the development of chromatographic methods, instrumentation, and pertinent sample preparation procedures for environmental and industrial problems. He has (co-)authored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 13 book chapters related to various aspects of separation sciences, is an Editorial Board Member for five journals, and is currently the Austrian representative in the Central European Group for Separation Sciences (CEGSS).
