3rd Standards Webinar
Corporate Sustainability Reporting Standards
Humanity is facing serious problems in sustainable development—from climate change with droughts, fires, floods, and biodiversity reduction to social responsibility for wars, inequities, and violation of human rights and economic problems such as reductions in critical materials, waste recycling, renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, etc. Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing, the circular economy, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and sustainability reporting are just some of the responses imposed.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has accepted many standards from the ESG area. Governments require companies to disclose information on the risks and opportunities arising from social and environmental issues and the impact of their activities on people and the environment. Last year, the European Union (EU) accepted the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)—companies subject to the CSRD will have to report according to European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Many other international and national standards have been prepared for the ESG and SDG purposes.
The following Standards webinar will provide an overview what has been achieved or is being prepared around the theme of ESG and SDG standards. During the webinar, we shall present information on what action must be taken immediately to enable nature and humanity’s survival.
