Welcome from the Chairs
Dear Colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce that "Symmetry 2025 — The 5th International Conference on Symmetry" will be held from 16 to 19 May 2025 in Hangzhou, China. This marks an exciting new chapter for our conference series as we bring this esteemed event to Asia for the first time.
Building upon the success of our previous conferences in Spain, we are eager to explore the rich tapestry of symmetry in the beautiful and historic city of Hangzhou. Known for its scenic West Lake and harmonious blend of nature and urban development, Hangzhou offers an inspiring backdrop for our discussions on symmetry and its applications across various scientific disciplines.
As in previous years, our aim is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among scholars, engineers, students, and professionals working in symmetry-related fields. We welcome contributions from computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, symmetry applications, and beyond.
We invite you to join us in Hangzhou for what promises to be an enriching exchange of ideas and knowledge. Together, let us continue to unravel the mysteries of symmetry and its profound impact on our understanding of the natural world.
Kind regards,
Prof. Dr. Sergei D. Odintsov, Institute of Space Sciences, Spain
Prof. Dr. Changzheng Qu, Ningbo University, China
Prof. Dr. Jihuan He, Soochow University, China

Tourism
Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, is a city with a rich history and a vibrant culture. Known as the "Land of Fish and Rice" and "the State of Profound Culture", Hangzhou boasts a history that dates to the Liangzhu Civilization, approximately 5000 years ago. The city was a significant capital during the Wuyue Kingdom and the Southern Song Dynasty, and it played a pivotal role in the development of Chinese civilization.
As one of the first national historical and cultural cities, Hangzhou is home to numerous cultural heritages and natural landscapes. The West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is an iconic symbol of the city and has been depicted by artists throughout history. The Grand Canal, which was completed in 609, is another testament to the city's historical significance and continues to be a vital part of Hangzhou's cultural identity.
Hangzhou has also emerged as a global city in recent years, hosting international events such as the G20 Summit in 2016, which brought the city into the global spotlight.
Economically, Hangzhou is a leading center for e-commerce and technology, with companies like Alibaba Group contributing to its thriving economy. The city is committed to attracting global talent and has implemented policies to retain and attract high-caliber professionals.
