Abstract: The reactivity of various b-aminoalcohols with diethyloxalate, in several reaction conditions, has been investigated. Lineal or cyclic derivatives were obtained depending on the nature of the solvent used and the starting material.
Keywords: tetrasubstituted oxalamide, morpholin-2,3-dione, theoretical calculations.
