


On Thursday, 17 November, MDPI and the Journal Applied Sciences organized the 6th webinar on Applied Sciences, entitled "Advanced Theoretical and Computational Methods for Complex Materials and Structures".
In a context where an increased computational demand is required to solve many engineering problems, including large deformation, high gradient, damage, fracture mechanics, vibration, or buckling phenomena, this webinar discusses about different high-performance computational strategies and advanced theoretical modeling to treat heterogeneous materials and complicated structures at different scales, of great interest both from a scientific and design standpoint.
The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion, moderated by the Chair. The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend.
