Introduction
Bio
Vincenzo Baglio is a Research Director at the CNR – Institute for Advanced Energy Technologies "Nicola Giordano" in Messina, Italy. He holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Messina and a Ph.D. in "Materials for Environment and Energy" from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". His research is primarily focused on energy conversion and storage, with particular emphasis on fuel cells and water electrolysis. Dr. Baglio has authored over 250 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, with a citation count exceeding 11,000 and an H-index of 60 according to Scopus, and over 14,000 citations and an H-index of 68 based on Google Scholar. In addition, he has contributed 10 book chapters, 1 book, and approximately 300 presentations at national and international conferences, including more than 20 invited or keynote talks. His scientific contributions span a wide range of topics within the field of electrochemical energy conversion and storage, including fuel cells, electrolysers, batteries, and third-generation photovoltaics.

Bio
Prof. Raffaella Mancuso received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at University of Calabria (Italy) in 2002 and her first PhD in “Methodologies for the Development of Molecules of Pharmacological Interest” at the some university in 2006. Prof. Mancuso won a “young investigator research project” in 2007 at the University of Calabria. In 2008 she was a post-doc researcher at Iowa State University (USA) with Prof. Richard Larock. In 2012 she joined the group of Prof. Daniel Solé (University of Barcelona-Spain) as invited researcher. Prof. Mancuso received a “Research Award” in September 2017 in the field "Innovation in Organic Synthesis". In 2018 she received her second PhD degree in “Environmental, Construction and Energy Sciences and Engineering” at the University of Calabria. In 2018 she was Researcher in Organic Chemistry at University of Calabria. From 2021 she is Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Calabria (Italy). Prof. Mancuso current scientific production include 167 papers in international peer-reviewed journals (h-index: 41), 8 patents, 9 book chapter and more than 260 communications in national or international conferences. She is an international referee in the field of Multidisciplinary and Organic Chemistry, an editorial board member of reputed international journals. Her current research interests include organometallic catalysis for the synthesis of high value molecules of pharmacological interest, use of nonconventional solvents in advanced organic synthesis and synthesis of novel materials for advanced applications and for cultural heritage.

The registration for ECCS 2026 will be free of charge! The registration includes attendance to all conference sessions.

If you are registering several people under the same registration, please do not use the same email address for each person, but their individual university email addresses. Thank you for your understanding.

Please note that the submission and registration are two separate parts. Only scholars who registered can receive a link to access the conference live streaming. The deadline for registration is 16 September 2026.

Instructions for Authors

Procedure for Submission

The 4th International Electronic Conference on Catalysis Sciences will accept abstracts only. The accepted abstracts will be available online on Sciforum.net during and after the conference.

Important Deadlines

1. Deadline for abstract submission: 22 May 2026.
2. Deadline for abstract acceptance notification: 22 June 2026.
You will be notified of the acceptance of an oral/poster presentation in a separate email.

Abstract Submission

Abstract submissions should be completed online by registering with www.sciforum.net and using the "Submit Abstract" function once logged into the system. No physical template is necessary.

1. The structure abstract should include the introduction, methods, results, and conclusions sections of about 200–300 words in length.
2. All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear, publication-ready English with accurate grammar and spelling.
3. You may submit multiple abstracts. However, only one abstract will be selected for oral presentation.
4. Abstracts submitted to this conference must be original and novel, without prior publication in any journals, or else it will not be accepted to this conference.

Detailed Requirements:
1. The submitting author must ensure that all co-authors are aware of the contents of the abstract.
2. Please ensure that all co-author information is thoroughly completed when submitting your abstract to prevent any omissions.
3. The requirements for full affiliation include:
(1) Department/School/Faculty/Campus;
(2) University/Company/Institute;
(3) City;
(4) Post/ZIP code or equivalent, where available;
(5) Country.
4. Please select only one presenter for each submission. If you would like to change the presenter after submission, please email us accordingly.

Note:
We only accept live presentations.

Oral Presentation and Slides Preparation
The slot for the oral presentation is 15 mins. We advise that your presentation lasts for a maximum of 12 mins, leaving at least 3 mins for the Q&A session.

Authors are encouraged to prepare a presentation in PowerPoint or similar software, to be displayed online along with the abstract. Slides, if available, will be displayed directly on the website using the proprietary slide viewer at Sciforum.net. Slides can be prepared in exactly the same way as for any traditional conference where research results are presented. Slides should be converted to PDF format prior to submission so that they can be converted for online display.
Poster Display
Should include the title, authors, contact details and main research findings, as well as tables, figures and graphs where necessary.
- Size in pixel: 1080 width x 1536 height–portrait orientation.
- Size in cm: 38,1 width x 54,2 height–portrait orientation.
- Font size: ≥16.

The poster template can be downloaded here. We will reach out to you closer to the dates of the conference with more information.

All accepted submissions will be permanently displayed online in the Poster Gallery. Once your submission is accepted, you can upload your poster in the "My submission" section. Simply select the correct conference and submission, then click the upload button.
Certificate

All accepted authors and registered participants will receive a Certificate of Participation as recognition of their contribution to ECCS 2026. Certificates of Participation are available in your logged-in area of Sciforum.net, under My Certificates after the conference.

Potential Conflicts of Interest

It is the authors' responsibility to identify and declare any personal circumstances or interests that may be perceived as inappropriately influencing the representation or interpretation of clinical research. If there is no conflict, please state "The authors declare no conflicts of interest." This should be conveyed in a separate "Conflict of Interest" statement preceding the "Acknowledgments" and "References" sections at the end of the manuscript. Any financial support for the study must be fully disclosed in the "Acknowledgments" section.

MDPI, the publisher of the Sciforum.net platform, is an open access publisher. We believe authors should retain the copyright to their scholarly works. Hence, by submitting an abstract to this conference, you retain the copyright to the work, but you grant MDPI the non-exclusive right to publish this abstract online on the Sciforum.net platform. This means you can easily submit your full paper (with the abstract) to any scientific journal at a later stage and transfer the copyright to its publisher if required.

Publication Opportunities

  • Catalysts Journal Publication

    Participants in this conference are cordially invited to contribute a full manuscript to the Special Issue (to be updated) published in Catalysts (ISSN: 2073-4344, IF: 4.0, CITESCORE: 7.6), with a 20% discount on the publication fee.

    Please note if you have IOAP/association discounts, conference discounts will be combined with IOAP/association discounts. Conference discounts cannot be combined with reviewer vouchers. All submitted papers will undergo MDPI’s standard peer-review procedure. The abstracts should be cited and noted on the first page of the paper.

  • Chemistry Proceedings Journal Publication

    You are welcome to submit a proceeding paper (4-8 pages) to Chemistry Proceedings journal (ISSN: 2673-4583) after the conference. Publication of the proceedings will be free of charge.

    Authors are asked to disclose that it is a proceeding paper of the ECCS 2026 conference paper in their cover letter. Carefully read the rules outlined in the 'Instructions for Authors' on the journal’s website and ensure that your submission adheres to these guidelines.

    Proceedings paper submission: 25 September 2026–9 November 2026.

    Manuscripts for the proceedings issue must be formatted as follows:
    - Title.
    - Full author names.
    - Affiliations (including full postal address) and authors' e-mail addresses.
    - Abstract.
    - Keywords.
    - Introduction.
    - Methods.
    - Results and Discussion.
    - Conclusions.
    - Acknowledgements.
    - References.

The Best Oral Presentation Award is given to the Oral Presentations judged to have made the most significant contribution at the conference.

Note: Up to 5 winners with outstanding submissions will be selected across these 2 award categories. Winners will receive a certificate and CHF 200 each.
