Getting There ✈️

Rome is served by two airports: Fiumicino Airport (FCO), the main international airport, located about 30 km from the city center, and Ciampino Airport (CIA), located about 15 km from the city center.For more information, please visit the official airport website: https://www.adr.it.

From Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to the city center:

  • Shuttle bus: Shuttle buses connect the airport with Roma Termini in about 45–60 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Train: The Leonardo Express connects Fiumicino Airport with Roma Termini in about 32 minutes. The tickets cost EUR 14.
  • Taxi: Official taxis are available outside the arrivals area. The fixed fare to central Rome is approximately EUR 55.

From Ciampino Airport (CIA) to the city center:

  • Shuttle bus: Shuttle buses connect Ciampino Airport with Roma Termini in about 40–45 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Train: The Ciampino Airlink connects the airport with Roma Termini via Ciampino railway station.
  • Taxi: Official taxis are available outside the arrivals area. The fixed fare to central Rome is approximately EUR 40.
Venue

The conference will take place at the Conference Hall (Aula Conferenze) of the Department of Civil, Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies Engineering at Roma Tre University.

Founded in 1992, Roma Tre University is one of Italy's leading public universities, renowned for its excellence in teaching and research. The conference venue is located in the lively Ostiense district, a dynamic area that combines the city's industrial heritage with contemporary culture, offering a wide selection of restaurants, cafés, and cultural attractions.

The venue is well connected to Rome's public transportation network and can be easily reached from both Fiumicino and Ciampino airports, as well as Roma Termini railway station, making it convenient for both national and international participants.

Visa Information

Please note that you must apply for your own visa application. MDPI is not responsible for any visa application. However, MDPI can provide a Visa Support Letter. To be eligible for such a document, the criteria below must be fulfilled.

Visa Support Letter:
  • Applicants must have paid for registration and submitted an abstract in order to get a letter of support.
  • Applicants must provide us with a scan of their valid, in-date passport that contains a photo of them.
  • Applicants must provide us with a letter of support from their institution to confirm that they support the delegate attending the meeting.
  • This must be carried out in good time before the meeting; "last minute" requests will not be processed.

Accommodation

We want your stay in Rome during the conference to be as comfortable as possible. We are currently working on arranging partner accommodations with selected hotels and will share details and special rates in due course. Once available, accommodation should be booked online, and any questions or requests related to bookings will need to be addressed directly with the hotels.
