Venue Information

To enhance academic exchange and broaden participation, the conference will take place across two nearby venues. Day 1 will be held at Faculty of Science Building, Zhejiang University (Zijingang Campus). Days 2–3 will be held at the Ou Ya Mei International Hotel, where participants will also be accommodated. The two venues are within walking distance of each other (approximately 15 minutes), ensuring convenient access throughout the conference.

Inter-Venue Access
The hotel venue and the university venue are located in close proximity, approximately 1 km apart. Participants may conveniently walk between the two venues.
A shuttle bus service will be arranged between the hotel and the university venue during the conference date. Detailed transportation arrangements will be announced prior to the conference.

Travel

By Plane

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport(HGH) serves as a major hub for both domestic and international traffic. As one of China’s key gateway cities, Hangzhou is well connected, with direct flights available from numerous global destinations. If direct flights are not available, you can fly to Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Shanghai first (Among these major cities, Beijing is far while Shanghai is close to Hangzhou).

To venue
· Taxis: Taxis are readily available. To assist the driver, you can print out the name of the hotel (杭州欧亚美国际酒店) and show it to them. The ride to the hotel takes approximately 60 minutes and costs about CNY 170/ USD 25.
· Subway: You will get on at Airport Station and get off at Xixi Wetland North Station (11 stops), then get on the bus No.7149 at Nan Hengtang Station and get off at Yujiacun Station (4 stops), then walk 870m.

By Train

If you choose to take the railway to Hangzhou, it’s convenient for you to opt for a train from your city to Hangzhou East Railway Station or Hangzhou West Railway Station.

For instance, if you come from Shanghai, most time you can get on from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station or Shanghai North Station and get off at Hangzhou East Railway Station.

Train tickets can be purchased on the national rail website.

To venue
Hangzhou East Railway Station:
· Taxi: The ride to the hotel takes approximately 40 minutes and costs about CNY 76/ USD 12.
· Subway: You will get on at TrainEast Station and get off at Jiangcun Station (13 stops), then walk 2km.

Hangzhou West Railway Station (closer) :
· Taxi: The ride to the hotel takes approximately 15 minutes and costs about CNY 31/ USD 4.5.
· Subway: You will get on at TrainWest Station and get off at Jiangcun Station (6 stops), then walk 2km.

Tips
For non-Chinese attendances, “Bring Me to Venue” card is available, you can show it to taxi driver and then they will take you to the venue.

Important Notice:
· All room charges are to be paid directly at the hotel upon check-in. Accepted payment methods are: VISA, Mastercard, UnionPay, AliPay, WeChatPay and Cash (RMB).
· The hotel reservation form is mandatory for all participants. Requests submitted without completing the form will not be processed and will not be eligible for the discounted rate.
· The conference team provides assistance in coordinating accommodation requests but does not guarantee room availability, and are subject to hotel availability.

Tourism

Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, is a city with a rich history and a vibrant culture. Known as the "Land of Fish and Rice" and "the State of Profound Culture", Hangzhou boasts a history that dates to the Liangzhu Civilization, approximately 5000 years ago. The city was a significant capital during the Wuyue Kingdom and the Southern Song Dynasty, and it played a pivotal role in the development of Chinese civilization.

Route 1: West Lake Cultural Tour

Morning: Tour West Lake scenic area (2-3 hours)
- Start at the famous Su Causeway (苏堤), a 2.8km tree-lined path with six elegant bridges
- Continue to Bai Causeway (白堤), known for its peaceful willow trees and lake views
- Take a traditional wooden boat ride for unique perspectives of the lake

Afternoon: Cultural Exploration (3-4 hours)
- Visit Lingyin Temple, one of China's largest and most significant Buddhist temples
- Explore Flying Peak's ancient Buddhist rock carvings, dating back to the 10th century

Visa Information

All visitors to China must meet the following entry requirements:

- Valid travel document (with a minimum validity of 6 months);
- Onward/return ticket;
- Entry facilities to next destination;
- Sufficient funds to stay in China;
- Visa for China (*if applicable).

To avoid uncertainty, participants will be advised to apply for a visa as early as possible. It is recommended that they apply for a Chinese visa at least 1 month in advance. For most attendees, it is easier to apply for a Tourist ("L") visa; an invitation letter is NOT required to obtain a Tourist visa.

Please note that the ICMMP is not authorized to assist with the visa process beyond providing the Notification of Acceptance Letter and Invitation Letter (after registration) issued by the ICMMP Committee Board.

Should the application be denied, the ICMMP cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will the ICMMP engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded.

Kindly ensure that you have completed your registration and made payment before sending in your request for your visa application document(s) to the conference secretariat. The document(s) will be prepared and sent by email. Failure to provide the above information will result in the delay of your invitation letter.
