Prof. Simone Pascuzzi

Professor Simone Pascuzzi holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and is Professor of Agricultural Mechanics and Mechanization at the University of Bari, Italy. He is also an Honorary Doctor of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, and serves as President of Section IV, Agricultural Electrification and Energy Utilization, of the Italian Association of Agricultural Engineering (AIIA). At the University of Bari, he teaches courses on digital technologies for Precision Agriculture and Agriculture 4.0. His research focuses on collaborative ground and aerial robots for agriculture, agricultural mechanization for precision farming, Internet of Things (IoT) applications in agriculture, hybrid agricultural tractors, and energy-efficient agricultural machinery. He has served as principal investigator and research team member in numerous nationally and internationally funded projects. He is also a member of the committee responsible for evaluating innovative agricultural machinery exhibited at EIMA, the International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition held in Bologna, Italy.

Prof. Dr. Tofael Ahamed

Tofael Ahamed is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba, Japan. He earned his PhD from the University of Tsukuba and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA. His research focuses on precision agriculture, agricultural robotics, decision support systems, and the application of Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in smart agriculture. He has led and contributed to numerous research projects funded by organizations including JST, JSPS, MAFF (Japan), and Amazon Research Initiatives. He serves as an Associate Editor for Computers and Electronics in Agriculture (Elsevier) and Agricultural Information Research, and is involved with several international journals as an editorial board member and guest editor. Professor Ahamed has published more than 125 journal articles, authored four books, and edited five books. He has supervised over 30 PhD and 40 master's students while maintaining active international collaborations with leading institutions worldwide. In recognition of his contributions to research, education, and academic leadership, he was named one of the University of Tsukuba's Best Faculty Members in 2016 and 2022.
