To acknowledge the support of the conference's esteemed authors and recognize their outstanding scientific accomplishments, we are pleased to announce that the conference will provide multiple awards including MDPI Bioengineering Lectureship 2024 Award, Best Oral Presentation Awards and Best Poster Awards.

Bioengineering in the World of Generative AI

The MDPI Bioengineering Lectureship award:

1. The successful nominee will deliver the MDPI Bioengineering Lecture at the 1st International Online Conference on Bioengineering (IOCBE) on 16-18 October 2024.
2. They will also receive a two year's article processing charge (APC) discounts for any future publications in Bioengineering.
3. They will be granted a travel award of CHF 1,000 CHF with which to attend the World Congress in Bioengineering.

Best Oral Presentation Awards and Best Poster Awards

Description

The Best Oral Presentation Awards are given to the paper judged to make the most significant oral contribution to the conference.
The Best Poster Awards are given to the submission judged to make the most significant and interesting poster for the conference.

There will be three winners selected for these awards.
The winner will receive a certificate, 200 CHF and 1 Bioengineering APC credit of 2,700CHF each.

Terms and Conditions
Eligible nominees (for MDPI Bioengineering Lectureship 2024):
Eligible lectureship candidates meet the following criteria:
1.Must be an early-career independent researcher who earned their degree within the last 10 years (doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars in a PI’s lab are not eligible).
2.Must be actively engaged in research in the bioengineering field and have made a noteworthy contribution to the field.

How to nominate:
Nominations can be made via email to iocbe@mdpi.com and must include the following:
1. The name, affiliation and contact details of the nominee, nominator, and referee.
2. An up-to-date biography of a maximum of 300 words and an up-to-date CV of the nominee, which should be no longer than 2 pages.
3. A letter of recommendation (500 words or less) from the nominator. The relationship between nominator and nominee should be clearly stated in this letter.
4. A supporting letter of recommendation (500 words or less) from a referee who is familiar with the nominees’ temperament and promise as a scholar, e.g., the nominee’s academic mentor or PhD/postdoc supervisor. The relationship between the referee and nominee should be clearly stated in this letter.
5. The nominator must confirm that, to the best of their knowledge, their nominee is in good professional standing and that there is no confirmed or potential impediment to them receiving the Lectureship.
