Dr. Paula Pérez-Lopez is a Research Associate Professor at the Center Observation, Impacts, Energy of Mines Paris - PSL University, in France. Her research areas include the development and application of Life Cycle Assessment methods and tools for the evaluation of products and services, mainly in the field of renewable sources and energy technologies (photovoltaics, wind power, biomass, geothermal energy…). Among the methods that she develops are approaches and tools for uncertainty and sensitivity analyses, together with methods for dynamic and prospective modelling to better account for technological and spatiotemporal aspects in life cycle inventories and impact assessments. She also contributes to the improvement of methods for the integration of three dimensions of sustainability (environmental, social and economic) in Life Cycle Sustainability Assessments. Dr. Paula Pérez-Lopez has developed her career in different universities and research centers in Europe and United States, including the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), AlgaePARC at Wageningen University (The Netherlands), Northeastern University in Boston (MA, United States), the Limerick Institute of Technology (Ireland) and the Joint Research Center of the European Commission.
