On Friday, 1 July 2022, MDPI and the Nanomaterials Journal organized the 7th webinar on Nanomaterials, entitled "Advanced Magnetoelectric Nanocomposites and Their Applications".
The introduction was held by the Chair of the webinar, Prof. Dr. Jordi Sort. He leads the “Group of Smart Nanoengineered Materials, Nanomechanics and Nanomagnetism (Gnm3)” at UAB, which focuses its research activities on the synthesis of a wide variety of functional materials and the study of their structural, mechanical, magnetic, and thermal properties.
The first speaker was Dr. Aliona Nicolenco with her presentation "Nanoporous Magnetoelectric Materials". Since January 2021, she is a postdoctoral Marie Curie fellow based at Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. The second presentation was held by Dr. Julius de Rojas with his presentation "Magneto-Ionic Control of Magnetism: Oxygen vs Nitrogen Systems". He is currently a postdoctoral research associate at Durham University studying magnonics and spin-wave devices in the group of Prof. Adekunle Adeyeye. The third presenter Dr. Alberto Quintana presented "Magneto-Ionic Control of Magnetism: The Hydrogen and Hydroxide Approaches". He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona where he carries out research in the field of photoresponsive oxides, in the synthesis and characterization of magnetic materials and the voltage control of their magnetic properties.
The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion, moderated by the Chair Prof. Dr. Jordi Sort. The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend. The full recording can be found here on Sciforum website.
