We are delighted to welcome you to participate in the webinar, entitled "Wearable Sensors for Monitoring Athletic and Clinical Cohorts". This webinar will provide an overview of current wearable monitoring systems that enable continuous and non-invasive detection of physiological (biosignals) and biomechanical (kinetic, kinematic) data. We will introduce two leading researchers who will discuss the use of wearable technologies for measuring running-related loads and monitoring patients with low back pain. These presentations will address some of the recent advances, technologies and applications in the field of wearable sensors for athletic and clinical cohorts. We will wrap up with an engaging discussion about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for users of wearable sensor technologies.
I look forward to welcoming you and “meeting” with you online at the webinar. I hope you will enjoy the inspiring and exciting speeches.

During this webinar Adam, Mark and Adrian presented an overview of the current research landscape around wearable sensors for monitoring athletic and clinical cohorts. Wearables were identified as a digital health priority area, and the different types of sensor technologies were described. Detailed information pertaining to the research and clinical use ofwearable sensors for measuring knee and anterior cruciate ligament loads, running biomechanics and management of low back pain were provided. An insightful series of questions were presented by a number of the 40 attendees.
The webinar was hosted via Zoom and required registration to attend. The full recording can be found below. In order to learn about future webinars, you can sign up to our newsletter by clicking “Subscribe” at the top of the page.
